Aislinn was born in 979 in the province of Munster, the daughter of a wealthy Welsh woman who was rumored to have many lovers which left the identity of Aislinn father questionable. There is strong evidence however that points to a Scottish solider, who would later claim kinship. At an early age Aislinn was sent off to reside with a distant relative where she would learn to read, sew, cook, and the needed for running a home. She would not see her mother again until the age of 15 when she was summons to return home and begin preparations for her marriage to a brutish Welshman, who would disappear under mysterious circumstances the night before their wedding was to take place. It would not be until the age of 17 that Aislinn would eventually be married off to Dand Coamhanach, a rogue soldier who would later perish in battle against the Dane at Tara in 999. A young window Aislinn would flee her homeland with her infant son to avoid being wedded to a local sheep herder her husband was indebted to. There are very little records of her whereabouts during this time, but she would later emerge in the year 1011 only to vanish once again in 1014 after the Battle of Clontarf for parts unknown.
